This proprietary zinc alloy is a general purpose aluminum brazing alloy, and is a secondary choice to ZA-1 when brazing Al-Cu (tight difference between melt-flow points, very low melt-flow temperatures). It offers very low alloy shrinkage and as such, low porosity.
Also a low temperature brazing alloy, this material has no aluminum. An addition of copper to the zinc makes this alloy a very effective solution for hand brazing as well as where fit-up is less than ideal. It is also very effective for the repair of higher temperature alloys.
