ChannelFlux® ZA-2

This low-temperature brazing filler metal uses 98/2 Zn-Al as its base. It is for use exclusively in hand brazing applications where rapid heat up of the base metals is possible. It utilizes a Cesium-based polymer flux system and is available on a limited basis in spooled wire and rod.

Z-2 is a low temperature brazing alloy designed exclusively for repair. Since the flux activates above the flow point of the brazing alloy, proper training is required to maximize the effectiveness of the brazing alloy.

Considerations INDIRECT (CONDUCTION) HEAT - Success with ChannelFlux ZA-2 wire and preforms is best achieved via indirect heat (conduction). Excessive direct heat should be avoided.
