This aluminum-silicon brazing filler metal is primarily used to braze aluminum. It is a high strength, low cost solution for most Al-Al applications, and is appropriate to use for production. Like all aluminum brazing, use of this alloy requires good process control. ChannelFlux 4047 utilizes a KAIF & CsAIF based polymer flux system and is available in wire, rod, and preforms.
